Specimen Signatures are nothing but those signatures whose authenticity is already proved. It can be considered as genuine as well as original signature. 

Questioned signature means the signature whose authenticity is in doubt. It can be called a Doubtful forged signature. The signature on which the opposite party has claimed is not written by that particular individual.

The reason behind that is the Fingerprint is unique and permanent during the lifetime of an individual. The ridges and ridge characteristics do not change and even the identical twins do not have the fingerprints alike. That’s why we can provide the exact accurate opinion in fingerprint examination if clearly visible prints are provided for examination.
